Well, this is awkward.
We know that lots of players hate the direction that Activision is taking for the next Call of Duty game but who knew that things were this bad? As of this writing the trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has received over 763,000 dislikes on YouTube against a relatively paltry 257,000 likes. For the sake of context, the trailer for Sony’s much maligned reboot of Ghostbusters currently has over 7530,000 dislikes against 230,000 likes. Even more embarrassing, the Call of Duty trailer has twenty million fewer views. After all, the new Ghostbusters was released over two months ago.
To be fair, a large amount of the hate is likely tied to the fact that Modern Warfare Remastered is locked behind the $80 Legacy version of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
No matter how you try to spin it, Activision has an uphill battle ahead of the to make thi gs right with their Call of Duty community.
