If this isn’t the news we have all been waiting for then I don’t know what is! Deadpool 2 is now officially in the works at 20th Century Fox. Not only that but the old crew behind the first film will be returning for the sequel. For those of you that watched the end credits sequence though: No we don’t yet know if Cable will be introduced.
Fans have been baying at Fox’s door for a sequel pretty much since the credits rolled on Deadpool 1 and the news that the director, writers and lead actor are returning will be music to everyone’s ears. Deadpool smashed numerous box office records, both for a February release and for R-Rated movies, and proved to many in Hollywood that R-Rated movies can earn just as much money as the big PG blockbusters.
In the end credits sequence of Deadpool, which was itself a reference to John Hughes’ Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Wade Wilson comes out (in his suit of course) and discusses with the audience the sequel, potentially having Cable and perhaps involving time travel.
