The unusual tale of Phantom Dust on Xbox One has begun a new chapter amid Microsoft’s recent application for a new trademark. Filed on January 13th of this year, the new application describes Phantom Dust as a Class 9 product which is consistent with the original trademark from 2003. However, there is also a reference to Class 41.
This designation is often used for entertainment products and has in the past been used for products with online features such as multiplayer or sending items to people on your friends list.
Phantom Dust is a hybrid action and strategy game for the original Xbox in which players utilize decks of cards in battles against one another.
Microsoft announced a Phantom Dust reboot in 2014. Last year Microsoft cut ties with the developer working on the game but insisted Phantom Dust would still come to the Xbox One.
