Kat is back, but we all knew that after seeing the new Gravity Rush at the Tokyo Game show last year. Sony has released a new trailer for Gravity Rush 2 and it keeps looking better and better. Gravity Rush 2 wasn’t shown at E3 during the Sony press conference (and neither was Dreams from Media Molecule, but they were too busy according to them), but at least we got a little something. The game looks much better than the original; the transition from being on the PS Vita to PS4 has done wonders. Raven looks to be partnering up with Kat this time, and hopefully ends up being a playable character or maybe have some co-op action, but she looks to be just a computer controlled assist character. The synopsis for the game is as follows:
Another mind-bending adventure awaits gravity queen Kat as a new danger emerges to threaten the fabric of the universe itself. Still searching for clues behind the mystery of her origin, and with the powerful Raven at her side, Kat must master three unique gravity attack styles as she takes on enemies and massive bosses.
I thoroughly enjoyed the original Gravity Rush on the PS Vita, and still have to play the PS4 version. I’m just hoping without the need to take advantage of all the PS Vita features makes the controls tighter and much friendlier to use. It was my only gripe with the original game. Check out the trailer below.
