Peter Garza, the Overseas Producer for Team Ninja, has posted to the PlayStation Blog announcing PS4 exclusive Nioh will be releasing in 2016. Along with that, an Alpha Demo with be releasing this month that will be available April 26 to May 5. Team Ninja, the developers of the game, will also have a survey available during the demo dates to gain feedback from players. It’s stated that clearing the demo will net players special DLC for the full game.
In the post Garza quoted Kou Shibusawa, General Producer of the game, as to why the demo will be available and he said:
“Now, finally, Nioh — a game created with the entire power of Koei Tecmo — will be released in 2016. I for one am looking forward to this game as it appears to be very much a Dark Souls game set in a Feudal Japan Era; or for any of you Xbox guys out there, another From Software game called Otogi: Myth of Demons on the original Xbox. With Team Ninja at the helm I’m hoping for a mix between Ninja Gaiden’s frenetic action with the challenge of Dark Souls. Are you people excited to play the Nioh Demo? Or could you care less?
