The recently announced PS4 Pro is the talk of the town and much more details are being revealed about what the system can truly do on a daily basis. One such piece of information has to do with the coveted Share button. A PlayStation spokesperson recently informed Polygon that using the Share button will now allow you to capture gameplay video up to 1080p 60fps as well as capture images in full 4k.
On top of that, the Pro will be capable of broadcasting video at 1080p 60 frames per second while live streaming to You Tube and at 1080p 30fps for Twitch. Famous features such as Remote Play and Share Play will also see a jump in performance capabilities, but of course how much you will be able to take advantage of these enhancements all depends on your internet connection.
This is great news for gamers such as myself that rely solely on the PlayStation 4 to capture and broadcast gameplay video to be uploaded to You Tube or streamed live on Twitch. Currently you can only record or broadcast gameplay at 720p 30 frames per second which frankly, just doesn’t cut the mustard these days.
The PS4 Pro will arrive this November for $399. Expect a lot more details and surprises about what the system is capable of to be revealed in the coming weeks and months.
