Sony has announced that the PlayStation VR will be launching on October 2016. Retailing for $399 US. Apparently there are now over 230 developers working on it. It also includes cinematic mode for viewing movies and playing flat-screen games. The PlayStation camera looks like it’s going to be a requirement and the PlayStation move controllers are likely going to be a requirement for some (most?) of the games.

-1920×1080 resolution split across both eyes respectively
-Nine LEDs on the headset are used by the PlayStation camera for 360 degree tracking purposes
-120Hz, 90Hz refresh rate
-Latency is less than 18Ms
-Supports the Dual shock 4 and PS move (also tracked with light)
