The System Shock Remastered website went live with the game being shown off over at GDC starting this week. Some surprising announcements was that the game will be coming to Xbox One and Steam when it launches. The game is being funded by a Kickstarter campaign, relying on gamers to fund the game’s development ahead of its release.

The Kickstarter Start date is still yet to be announced, and they’re allowing interested parties to register on their website to get access to updates on the progress of this game.

System Shock was a FPS game which launched in 1994. The game was critically lauded by fans and reviewers, making it one of the most iconic game franchises of all time. System Shock 2 launched in 1999, and games such as Bioshock and Deus Ex were regarded as ‘Spiritual Successors’ to the franchise.

System Shock Remastered is expected in 2017 on Xbox One.
