CD Projeckt Red have officially announced the first full expansion to the award-winning The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Since launch, the developer have released several free expansions. However that free ride have come to an end as the expansion Hearts of Stone will require you to part with some hard-earned cash.
The new expansion will feature 10 hours of additional gameplay and the new ‘Runewords’ system. According to CD Projeckt Red “each Runeword will impact a different aspect of in-game mechanics and will allow the players to experiment with various strategies and tactics.”. The expansion is designed for players who reached level 30, so if you haven’t racked up that XP, now is the time to jump back in. The expansion will also take you on an adventure in No Mans Land.
Some interesting tidbit, over 300 million hours have been spent in-game by avid fans of the series and it sold over 6 Million units since launch. CD Projeckt Red have also shipped several free expansions, which inspired other developers to follow suit.
The Witcher 3 is available on the Xbox One store today.
