Ghostlight is bringing Lancarse’s SRPG Lost Dimension to PC. The game will use the previous localization from Atlus along with higher resolution art in some places. Additionally, this port will include support for both controllers and keyboards as well as multiple screen resolutions.
After a terrorist threatens to destroy the world, it is up to a task force of eleven psychic soldiers to storm his base and thwart his plans. However, shortly after they arrive, the villain reveals that there are traitors among the team. Furthermore, there are a number of doors on the path to his lair that will only open after the group eliminates one of their own. The game features a system in which these culprits change with every playthrough which helps keep things interesting. Not only will players need to identify those who seek to betray the group, they will also need to convince the team to vote accordingly.
During combat, teams take turns moving their units and attacking. If someone has a clear shot, they will automatically assist their allies with extra attacks. There is also a system in which characters on the player’s team can give their turn to someone else. This allows players to send their front line further forward or set up stronger attacks.
From Lost Dimension’s description on the Steam store:
Taking place In the near future with the world in ruin, a terrorist mastermind known only as ‘The End’ threatens humanity with nuclear armageddon. A special task force of eleven young psychics each with incredible superhuman abilities and a mysterious past, are the only ones who can stop him. Together, they must climb The End’s formidable tower one floor at a time and bring him to justice. Their psychic powers will be put to the test against the sinister occupants of each floor as they race against the clock – and the traitors hidden within their ranks – to save the planet.
As team leader, Sho Kasugai, you’ll need to master a deep-but-intuitive combat system, build relationships with your squad and use logic to discern the traitor on each floor to progress. Only Sho has the skills necessary to weed out the traitors and defeat The End.
