Rockstar Games have announced that their highly anticipated sequel to 2010’s Red Dead Redemption has been delayed. The company had initially slated it’s release for Fall 2017 but they have now confirmed that it has been pushed back until Spring 2018.
In a statement released via their website the company apologised for the delay stating that “we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready”. In an attempt to appease fans, Rockstar have released five new screenshots from the forthcoming Midwestern which gives us a more accurate depiction of the world the game will revolve around. The full statement reads:

“We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer. In the meantime, please enjoy this selection of new screenshots from the world of Red Dead Redemption 2.”
