Cuphead, the classic style shoot’em up, is a game of days past. With its 1930s animation artstyle and jazz soundtrack, the game hopes you have a fun old time. Studio MDHR has finally revealed to the world the official release date of the game at Microsoft’s Xbox E3 conference.

Coming to your home this year on September 29th, the game has had major improvements since its initial reveal. Originally announced around 3 years ago, the game has had a hefty climb to completion. At first the game was only meant to sport boss fights, but thanks to the financial backing of Microsoft, the team over at MDHR has had the financial assets to drastically improve the game and build their original vision.

After its long delay, Xbox One and PC owners will be able to enjoy this love letter to a simpler time.
