The super human fight pit known as Killer Instinct is receiving several improvements with the launch of the Xbox One X later this year. At Microsoft’s E3 Xbox conference it was announced that several first party and third party games are going to receive a free 4K update. Some of those titles include Resident Evil, Final Fantasy XV, Gears of War 4, and more. Killer Instinct was already running at 60fps so this 4K update should make it one of the more visual stunning fighting games on the platform even if it was a launch title. The 4K patch will release with the launch of the Xbox One X on November 7th.
Another reveal today during the Xbox Daily Live Stream was the character trailer for Eagle. The Native American inspired character will add be an archer/projectile based character. If you’ve come from one of the newer fighting games fear not, Killer Instinct is still a combo based game. You’ll still need to get in close to do real damage with Eagle. Check out Eagle’s character trailer below.
