Still holding on for dear life, the seventh generation of consoles has yet to die in terms of what new games are coming out for them. In fact, Cars 3: Driven To Win was the latest to arrive to these platforms (alongside Gen 8 releases). I was originally just going to apply this to the Xbox 360 but two of these games are also coming to the Playstation 3. So what are these super-late arrivals? Well, to my surprise there is a little more to see here than on the list of upcoming Wii games. These super-late arrivals are…

Minecraft: Story Mode – Season Two

In a shocking twist, TellTale Games continues to support the Xbox 360 while ditching the Playstation 3 regarding this new addition to their take on Minecraft. Minecraft: Story Mode – Season Two, like the previous one, is a choice-driven adventure game based on the gargantuan cash cow that is Mojang’s world of blocky people and Creepers. A couple episodes of the Season have already been released digitally, but the Xbox 360 (as well as the Xbox One and Playstation 4) will receive a physical release on September 19th. Not to mention, there are still more episodes to come.

FIFA 18: Legacy Edition

The title for this release of FIFA 18 is named like that specifically for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions – make that of what you will. The “FIFA 18 Ultimate Icons” mode nor the “Journey” career mode from the eighth generation versions will be present here. It will contain updated kits and rosters, but that’s about it as far as details are concerned for this edition. This latest entry in EA’s soccer franchise is destined to arrive on September 29th.

Just Dance 2018

Although it’s synonymous with the Nintendo Wii like chocolate and peanut butter, Ubisoft’s Just Dance series has had entries released on everything else for years now. Just Dance 2018 is coming to both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, as well as all the eighth generation platforms. You’ll need to use the motion controllers to play this one, of course. It will feature 40 new songs (such as “24k Magic” by Bruno Mars, “Side to Side” by Ariana Grande, etc) to dance to. This dance experience will be arriving to everything on October 24th.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2018

Evidently, t’s not a late year for old consoles without two games in the same genre coming soon for them. In this case, Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 is hot on the heels of FIFA 18. As can be expected, the game will feature a presentation overhaul among other touches that make it a new edition in the series. There are to be new gameplay changes and modes, online co-op, and an upgraded Master League career mode. This one’s coming out on September 12th.

There you have it! That’s all that’s coming soon for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 – at least for this year. It’s a bit of a shame the latter won’t get to receive the new Season of Minecraft: Story Mode, but I digress.
